Andrew Kim is a Senior Associate at Lubin Pham + Caplin LLP, specializing in litigation. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia in 2011, where he majored in English Literature and Philosophy. He then pursued his legal education at Tulane Law School, graduating in 2015. Andrew was admitted to the California Bar in May 2016.
While in law school, Andrew demonstrated a strong commitment to both academic and extracurricular pursuits. He was a member of the Maritime Law Journal and the Civil Law Clinic, and he served as a Senator for the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GAPSA), representing the law school. His dedication to community service earned him recognition after providing more than 250 hours of pro bono legal service during his final year. Additionally, Andrew volunteered as a law school tour guide, assisting prospective students through the Office of Admissions.
With over 10 years of experience in employment law, Andrew has successfully represented clients in high-stakes litigation. In a wrongful termination case against UC Irvine, Andrew played a key role in securing a jury award of over $2 million, plus attorneys’ fees. He also independently managed and litigated a defamation case, resulting in a landmark jury verdict of over $80 million. Throughout his career, Andrew has been actively involved in firm leadership, managing intake departments, mentoring new associates, and contributing to strategic decisions in leadership meetings.
